Alternatively, if you came late, you still go to the mountain peak by adding an extra 1 Reais from outside the station by riding extra van. The trip from Largo do Machado to the Corcovado peak will take about 30 minutes. Along the trip, you can enjoy a stunning vista of Rio de Janeiro city.
Once you arrived at the top of the mountain, you will see a long queue of people who climb hundreds of stairs or about 100 meters to reach the statue. However, all your effort will be paid equally with the amazing panorama that you will never forget in your life. You can see the entire Rio de Janeiro city from Corcovado Mountain as a complete landscape.
You can enjoy Ipanema and Copacabana beaches with its shiny white sand, green hills along Tijuca forest, brown and green of Sugarloaf Mountains, skyscrapers, houses on the valley, the bridge that splits Guanabara Rio-Niteroi bays, Lagoa Rodrigo de Freites Lake, and the legend of Maracana stadium.
